The unforgiving sun was already beating
down on the dusty dirty village of
Ascension. It was not even 9 and one
could feel the need for a cool drink of
water, something the thousands we serve
never receive....
...As the trucks pulled in, hope was seen in the
children malnourished bodies but radiant smiles
and sparkling eyes. Running along side the truck,
barefoot, ragged and soiled, torn clothing, laughing
as they carried their milk cup to receive the most
protein they had received for the week. Crossroads
gives milk, rice, beans, meat and bread to the
poorest of the poor, targeting the children in hopes
of establishing some nutritional balance in their
poor diets. I want to take this opportunity for those
of you who have helped with this most important
and fragile ministry, the children of the world, who
are our hope and future tomorrow, and found in the
Kingdom today.
