Faith Statement
Since our lives are our most profound statement of faith and Christ's words ring out clear, that
"by our fruits yea shall know them" one finds it difficult to write mere words when Christ
calls for action. This page came about because there are those that need words.

We  at Crossroads are born again, and even this term means different things to different people,
but what it means to us is that Christ has found a place in all of our life, in the chambers of our
heart,  every corner, every breath, even in the dark shadows and in the moments of rapture.

Still, the necessity to shape what we collectively believe into words persists. For example just a
few days ago I received a call from someone who was frustrated when they could not locate a
statement of faith on our previous web page. Apparently their church needed to look at our faith
on paper in order to register with us.  I proceeded to mention that maybe we weren't the retreat
center for them  if they were looking for a cookie-cutter mission group and cookie-cutter
missionaries. We do not fit into the typical boundaries; our faith is open ended and our spirit has
no borders.  When he felt that we may not register him into the center he said "Oh, we have been
with you before and love what you are doing, we just need some paper for the church."

So, this is for all of those that find themselves within the letter of the law.  Honestly, what we do
at Crossroads is try to live the Bible by following Christ into the trenches of ministry.  Yes, we
believe he is the Son of God, died for the redemption of the world and will come back to regain
his Kingdom.  But, in the meantime, we believe we are called to follow him and recalling the last
words that were given by Jesus, three times one might  add, "to feed my sheep", He seems to think
that action is more important than theology.  And so do we.

Christ is all we really have and He has taken us out of the gutter and brought us into the
well-spring of life to walk with others. Loving him is all we know and our prayers are that you
can love him and serve him also.
